Below are links to the melodies for the recitation of Megillat Esther according to the Dutch tradition, sung by prof. dr. Eliyahu Schleifer of Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem.
The presentation is arranged verse by verse in order to make the learning easier. A recording of the teamim (musical notations) is also available for use by anyone wishing to learn the recitation this way.
Please note that these files are intended for learning only.
Two verses, 2:5 and 7:10 appear twice, since they have special Dutch melodies. These are recorded by Rabbi Reuven Bar-Ephraim. The recording of these verses by prof. Schleifer is placed between brackets.
Shoshanat Ya'akov, which is sung after the reading of the Megilla, is recorded by Bram Lagendijk.
The berachot can be found in the Dutch LJG-siddur on page 416.
The text and the Dutch translation of the Book of Esther (PDF) is taken from the recently published Hebrew-Dutch Tanach (2007, NBG and (LJG) Stichting Sja'ar (Sja'ar Foundation).
