On the sub-pages you’ll find links to sheet music and recordings of the High Holidays, Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.
Please note that some of the recordings were made ’live’ during services in the middle of the 1970s. They do represent the tradition of the Amsterdam congregation as it was established at this point in the history of the movement. This has remained the major minhag of the movement. This is our West-European musical heritage, which has barely survived and one of the places where it is still alive is in our Dutch communities. This too is a reason why we value this particular and most beautiful music in our services.
Some things have changed in the wording of some prayers in the machzor, but the recording still represents the older version; where this is the case, it is generally noted next to the link. Since the recordings are made live, there are also occasional mispronounciations of words included; when in doubt about the correct version, please consult the local rabbi.
The music is ordered according to the order it appears in the services.
